Brazilians dear friends . Estou muito
contented for having finally recorded my first album in Portuguese for you.
During my first and only visit to Brazil in 1976, I remember sitting in a bank of the beautiful Copacabana beach, imagining that "Copacabana" would be a great title for a song. It was not long and soon my colleagues and I were writing the song "Copacabana." As you can see we already have at least one story in common.
Singing these five songs in Portuguese was a challenge, especially for a guy from Brooklyn (New York). I hope you will forgive me the errors of pronunciation. After all that counts is the feeling, is not Really?
I look forward to visiting your country as soon as possible, and sincerely hope that this LP is only the beginning of a great friendship.
